My husband's brother has a boy a few months older than the girls. He sent us a video of his son answering many historical questions correctly.

Who was the first President?
George Washington.

Who was the sixteenth President?
Abraham Lincoln.

Who is the current President?
Obama.

Who said the British are coming?
The British are coming!
Who said that?
Paul Revere.


So, Carlos and I decided to test our own children. (I haven't taught them one damn historical thing...but you can bet I'm going to start.)

Where do you live?
The living room.

Who was the first President?
Mommy.

Who was the sixteenth President?
Mommy.

Who is the current President?
Mommy.

Who said the British are coming?
The British are coming! (I guess this is a fun phrase for toddlers to say?)
Right. Who said that?
ME!
